Semi-automatic means, that the links will be checked by a script from time to time and not on-the-fly, which they used to do in my first attempt some months ago. Those on-the-fly-checks could cause the whole page to hang. If you think, the links should be checked again, click the check again link on the links page. This will call the script and you will see the updated results within a few seconds.
